What is the process for teeth whitening in Dunstable?

At your initial consultation, we will assess your teeth and talk to you about the process for teeth whitening.

Next, we will take dental impressions of your teeth. These are used to make your bespoke plastic dental trays which fit over the top of your teeth.

This is usually mild and doesn’t last for long. If you do experience problems with sensitivity, talk to your dentist who can give more advice.

Can I choose the shade of white for my teeth?

Boutique teeth whitening whitens teeth three to seven shades brighter. The teeth whitening treatment is a gradual process, so you can easily decide when you are happy with the shade and when you would like to stop the process. Even when you opt for a very white shade, teeth whitening will still look natural and not give you a fake looking result.

What can I do to maintain the effects of teeth whitening?

It makes sense that you want to prolong the effects of teeth whitening.

We recommend that you practise a good oral hygiene – be sure to brush for a minimum of two minutes every morning and evening and floss once a day too. Visit your dentist and hygienist at least once a year.

Don’t smoke. Consider how often you consume darker coloured food and drinks like coffee and spicy curries. You should consider topping up your teeth whitening treatment, and this may be anything from 3 to 12 months after your initial treatment.
