Are you looking for our Watford practice?

Welcome to our site

Dunstable Dental Practice is a modern progressive Dental Practice with a view to preventive dentistry.

We aim to ensure that all our patients receive the best possible choices in Dentistry at a price that is affordable for you and your family.

We have now been given permission from the Government and the NHS to accept patients into the practice and we are planning a phased opening from Monday 15th June. Part of this involves giving you an update on the steps we are taking.

Infection control has always been a top priority. Our practice follows stringent standards of infection control so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We are now focusing on new practice protocols in order to operate a safe and efficient dental practice for all our patients, our staff and our wider community following the COVID-19 crisis.

You will note some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We are making these changes and revising our protocols to help protect you, our patients, and our team.

Before you arrive at the practice, we will ask you to:

  • Thoroughly brush your teeth just before arrival
  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds before leaving your home
  • Complete a pre-appointment screening process

When at the practice, we may ask you to:

  • Use hand sanitizer and to wear personal protective items when you arrive which may include disposable gloves, masks, shoe covers and hair covers (we will provide these items for you)
  • Allow us to take your temperature
  • Use a Betadine anti-viral throat spray and rinse with a specific mouthwash.
  • Complete a screening process questionnaire
  • Remain in your vehicle or outside our practice until we come to collect and escort you into the practice
  • Wear a mask on arrival
  • Ask you to use our contactless payment option instead of cash

To ensure a safe environment, we will:

  • Install perspex panels or germ-guards along the reception desk
  • Clearly mark out respecting social distance recommendations
  • Manage appointments to allow for social distancing between patients
  • Set up a daily health screening checkpoint and log for the screening of all staff entering the workplace
  • Minimise staff interaction
  • Equip our dental staff with additional PPE when in surgery
  • Use thorough cleaning technique to decontaminate the surgery between each patient to ensure a safe virus-free environment
  • Decontaminate communal areas prior to practice opening and multiple times during the day
  • Remove newspapers and magazines from the waiting room

As and when we hear advice from our professional governing bodies, we will keep you updated. Regardless of whether we are open or closed, you can still contact us either by phone or via email/website.

We are available 5-days a week regarding any dental problems or concerns you may have during this outbreak. We will be able to offer advice, prescribe pain relief and antibiotics should your symptoms meet certain criteria. For dental problems we are unable to manage, we have access to refer patients to the COVID-19 dental emergency Hub network.

You can telephone the practice on 01582 664315 or email us directly on [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are implementing to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.

Covid-19 Notice

Coping With Pain at HomeBright Smiles

Dear Patient,

Due to the current situation concerning the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic as well as following the latest advice from the British Dental Association, we have had to make the difficult decision to close our doors to the general public.

If you had an appointment with us for general check-up, dental treatment or to see the hygienist, unfortunately it now had to be cancelled/postponed until further notice. We do apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause to you, however we strongly believe that this is in the best interest of our patients and our team.

We do have a clear record of any appointments and treatments, therefore we will be able to retrieve any information needed in the future. (Please refer to our Privacy Policy)

If you had a hygiene appointment booked with us or paid a deposit, please be assured that you will either be able to rebook your appointment FREE OF CHARGE or you will be able to request a refund.

Due to the high volume of phone calls at this time, we will be unable to prioritise calls regarding refunds, therefore we would like to advise you to request it in writing via our website or our email address [email protected]. Please note that refunds will be sent by cheque via post only!

Unfortunately, at this moment we are unable to offer any future appointments or guarantee when these appointments will be rebooked.

If you have a genuine dental emergency please email us at [email protected] or use the contact section on this website, with details of your dental issue, your best contact number and we shall get back to you as soon as possible.

We are working hard to reassure everyone and we will aim to get in touch with every current patient on our record regarding the above.

Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and we are kindly asking for your understanding and patience at this difficult time.

Thank you.
